About Us
Greg Migdale is the CEO of Monterey Cypress Appraisal, an AI-GRS designated commercial reviewer with the Meridian Valuation Group, a AQB Certified USPAP Instructor for the Appraisal Institute, as well as the Appraisal Instructor at Monterey Peninsula College.
Working as an appraisal reviewer in partnership with the Meridian Valuation Group, Mr. Migdale reviews commercial Appraisal Reports of properties located throughout California, as well as the United States.
As a FHA approved, Certified General Appraiser, Mr. Migdale specializes in the appraisal of high-value estates, single-family homes, 2 to 4 unit properties, as well as 5+ unit apartment buildings. Whether the property is large or small, the client can be assured that his appraisals are based on a rational analysis of the elements of value. His reports are consistently well-written and always delivered on time.
Of the approximately 90,000 licensed appraisers practicing throughout the county, Mr. Migdale one of only about 450 appraisers certified by the AQB (Appraiser Qualifications Board) as a USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) Instructor.
I’m honored and proud to hold the Appraisal Institute’s AI-GRS designation, as well as certification from the Appraisal Qualification Board as a USPAP instructor. I serve as an USPAP Instructor for the Appraisal Institute as well as teach an introduction to Appraisal Practice & Principles at the Monterey Peninsula College.
In 2021 I was honored to receive the Appraisal Institute’s prestigious Arlen C. Mills Education Award. The recipient of this award is selected by the Northern California Chapter’s Education Committee and is based on the recipient’s dedication to education and service to the profession.
As a Past President of the Monterey Peninsula Sunrise Rotary Club, Practicing Affiliate of the Appraisal Institute, and member of the MontereyPeninsula Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Migdale is dedicated to providing the highest quality of appraisal services, while upholding the ethical standards of these organizations.
Monterey Cypress Appraisal is proud to support the community. In 2008, Mr. Migdale joined Rotary in part to create the Project Helping Hand program. This program assists teachers through the purchase of items not typically included in their school budgets. On October 16, 2018 the United States Congress awarded this charitable program a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition.” To date this program has distributed moire than $155,00 through micro-grants to local teachers.
